If you join a battle and need to wait, STAY THERE. Don't go start a game, or write a 1000 character post, or start making dinner. If it's a battle that is done in 1 hit, I don't see the need in waiting more than 5 minutes. If it's a sparky or bigger, then a wait for a full team should be expected. However some one SHOULD check where party members are in regards to E.T.A. letting others KNOW they are checking. Of course there are some times when an invited player may not know they have a battle waiting. It has happened to me, I play with the sound off, out of courtesy for those around me, and if I am posting I can not see the blinking envelope up the top. Once I hit submit, it is gone. I check grams every 5 mins, but by then, some battles have already started.
oh man! If I have a sparky battle, I will send out invite prior to entering names. You never know who is on or who can hang around for that long of time. If I'm in a sparky battle, I usually send messages to let others know. They way I see it, if they invite me and can win without me; then start. Use common sense thats all I have to say.
I actually suggested that in the betas. A "brt" button would make life so much easier especially with underage accounts that you can't send a msg to or they can't msg us. It keeps the young'uns safe and lets everyone know what's going on. There's some people I don't mind waiting for. Sometimes the assault is just a reason to hang out and be silly in a controlled setting. Now if the assaults are pouring in and you're missing them then yeah, you can only wait so long. I've started using the reject button lately because it just gets to be too much. I try and make it to as many as I can, especially if it is someone who still needs help. You just can't make them all though...
Yes, you are right TLE. It is your assault. I think I am in the majority when I say 5 minutes is too long to wait for henchies and such when there are enough players to kill them. So I am not talking about newbies waiting for someone bigger to help them out. But there is an fine line between being nice and inviting people to your assault and being an assault hog.
