You slowly make your way over to it paying attention to the red color with a black door. You notice a sign on the door that says, "Welcome to all...but THE MAN. Not you Ira, you know you're welcome!" You push the door open to reveal the Beatific scene. You're captivated by the dark funky colors, the bean bag chairs, the musical instruments, the poetry corner, the many posters with a shadow picture of "The Man" with x's through them, as well as other artsy pictures and furniture. You look around for the owner of the building when you spot Affy with a tool belt on tooling around with some circuits. She finishes and looks up to see you standing there.*

Well... Anything is better than what I SHOULD be doing right now... That is; piecing tiny wooden sticks together with glue to form a foot tall structure that will either be tested for its durability or beauty. I thought it sounded fun at first... but you have NO idea how hard it is to get a couple of toothpicks to stick together.
But my teacher assures me that it will teach me geometry... yeah right! |
