Whats up guys, what if an update to the site would bring in more activity? Im talking major changes. Im not complaining about how great it looks right now, but I do sometimes get bored of it :/

I don't know if this is possible or not, but some feedback would be nice.

It would. It's been said for years. They've been saying there's stuff in the works for the past few months, but I don't see anything different. I'm not try to complain or be pessimistic, but it doesn't look like anything will happen for a while at least.

I come on for the forums once every few days. To be honest, the site is outdated. It was made before social media and was innovative and fun. Now it's kinda barren and old.

There is stuff in the works for Urbaniacs. But we are talking about probably a bit longer than a year.

The Mayor has ideas to change the UI interface completely. Incorporate Facebook and other sites.

This is massive stuff here, with just one programmer. Keep that in mind.

Were becoming a Facebook site? Idk if this is a boost or a downfall. Don't let it become a social media site and not superhero site.

I don't think its becoming a Facebook. Like i said this is all visions from the mayor.

How about approach facebook and talk to them. Urbaniacs already has a client base of over , well, ten. :D

No way Facebook would even bat an eye at us, unless the programmer made an Urbaniacs Facebook app and put it on Facebook. Costs a lot of money though...

There must surely be a way to get around the costs. Get it done for free.

If Urbs were on facebook, the site WILL get more traffic. That is for sure

Once this does happen, In the future, I suggest bringing the chat back. But, to be a little more advanced. Being able to buy houses, drive the cars you have, etc. I'm not sure if that's possible but you see what I'm getting at. It would answer better to the economy. People can sell, buy, renovate.
Im not sure if everybody would like that, but it sounds like a good idea. It would definitely bring more traffic onto the servers, even if it becomes a Facebook app. People like interaction, and I see this beings good way to accomplish that. What do you guys think?

On a scale from doll house to Minecraft, Urb is closer to dollhouse. That's not a bad thing, it's definitely unique. I just think the popular genera now is the type like Minecraft, where the game is the center piece and the forums and such are extra. I think a multiplayer chatroom game would be very fun, that's basically what the streets were -- however it would take hundreds of thousands of dollar to hire programmers to create a quality chatroom world.

IMHO the game is outdated and will take a lot of money if you want to make it very popular. What needs to be done would never be "free" unless the owner of the site does it himself. What would be free are things that would keep the current players happy and somewhat engaged.

It'd take a lot of work to get this site back to where it was at its height. Not trying to be negative with this. I'm sure things can be done, but a new economy, houses, derivable cars and all these other things being mentioned just aren't reasonable hopes.
