What are you all doing here? This place died looooooooong ago XD Mayor gave it away, and the torch keeps getting passed down.

Oh how i miss the glory days! Urb was something special, with a great bunch of people... miss you guys! ( in spirit... no one is here anymore XD ).

Actually, I remember the exact point in which Urb died... people ruined the economy and everyone was a Zillionaire :/

Urb is still here. The torch burns. It burns because the urbs, although not always here in great quantities, are here regardless. We care about this site and as long as its heart shares a dorm with ours, it will live on.

I remember when Urb died too. Last night in your dreams.

I really liked it back in the day. Hope something similar to this website comes up sometime.

I had no idea urb was given away. Is that why the mayor never logged on.

Now, lets not bring any negativity in here. I strongly believe that Urbaniacs will thrive in the near future. The Mayor did not give away the site, so lets stop those rumors. As of now things are being worked on with a new programmer. things will get fixed little by little.

Instead of spreading the negativity, why dont we all just stay funky and support the site through this tough era.

Urb has always been alive even tho its members not come online as often we still do dont give up just yet heck i plan on bringing in a whole bunch of people here as soon as i have the time too. Just you wait!

We ( Old Dogs ) held on to hope that Urb would in fact thrive... the site was ALWAYS populated and there were plenty of people to talk to any time of the day. So many of us worked hard to get this site noticed. Hell I even spent a fortune on a custom paint job for my Race Car, had Urb decals all over it, even a license plate that said "Team Urb" and a Banner with the Website on the front and back window... I know all about effort.

With the good comes the bad, this is the opinions page, and everyone is entitled to their own.

I have been checking in for months and have seen no improvements, only maintenance... which is sad to see, I loved this place. I was here before I even had kids or a wife, and now I have 2 children and am divorced XD Hahaha...

So yeah, Urb holds a special place in my heart, but it looks like its over.

I really think the reason Urb is like this is cuz non of the previous admins(even though they work very hard) had enough time to actually improve the state of things in the long run. In all honesty i think we need more then 1 admin to improve on things. All urb needs is someone with a good amount of time to put into improving it for the long run.

Well, true. I mean, Mayor couldn't run it forever :) At some point he had to move on with life. Where is Love_Child? Is there currently no one holding the site together?

Currently Jaw_Rawker is the admin but he doesnt have that much time to spare either but hes trying his best.

Admins don't really have any power on the site, all i can do is wait. Right now there isn't anything major going on that would require an admins help. My powers are strictly limited to just have control over the players, meaning i can suspend, ban, and modify accounts like adjust trades, transfer of urbos, a stat modifications. Aside from just being able to control the players, I have Mod powers as well, meaning i can delete, forum posts. As you can see there isnt much I can to help the site with its behind the scenes building.

I've emailed Mayor D, and asked for an update on whats going on with site such as whats being worked on and etc. Once I get a reply, I will let everyone know
Iso, one can only wait at this time and hope for the best. we just got to be a bit more optimistic about things. And i do understand your reasons to think the way you are, but a little moral support wont hurt

A lot of the Golden Age players grew up, got married, had kids, and stopped spending time here. We had a bunch of young players trying to find glitches and they upset the entire balance of the game. I worked like crazy to keep things under control because the programmer couldn't fix the problem. After dealing with that for over a year, I was ready to throw in the towel. But then the back end of Urb was upgraded, the major glitch fixed, and everything else is being fixed one by one. I'm hopeful that new features will also be added, and then we can start recruiting new players. Think of this as the cocoon stage where die hard Urbs can still visit, discuss and dream. ^_^

Glad to hear things are getting fixed one by one. And that we have a programmer now.
