I am prepared for disses. In order to get the prices of items down we have to remove money from the economy. We have no expenses and lots of opportunities to earn urbos. Urbanville needs a real economy if we want the prices to come down. A pay lottery has been suggested. We could also use more and more useful OTUSs. They could serve to help people spend urbos. Reduce the amount of urbos, they become more valuable. I'm not an economist but what we have is inflation.
True.....I propose only being allowed to sell stuff while online. That way people can't leave bids up for days waiting for a higher one. I am sure this would have issues and nay-sayers would just say that they would use the forums to hold down bids. Another option would be price caps. Give everything thats not retired a price cap that is impossible to go over. That would give fair oportunity to all. And you could always raise the cap if needed.
"I'm paying what will be accepted" that is what everyone says....so is no one to blame? We are just supposed to let the richest urbs get all the tps? If no one bids ridiculously then they will accept fair prices. PRICE CAP NEEDED. This site does not pretend to be a democracy so why can't we get some socialism!
Less urb greedy urbs. Make selling items a perk that you earn after, say, 150days. or 20k props. any kind of level system. a basic price range for items. Like in WoW. if you charge to high, no one buys. And with levels, intrest can come so if you got a high level, you get more intrest on that item. ex. standard tp rate is 50k. at lvl 1 you get 50k, lvl2 55k, lvl3 60k etc etc.. and levels depends on yuou days playing, prop count, stats and posts made.
Hey all - well it's an interesting point you've got there. There are certainly a lot of Urbos out in Urbanville. Anytime you want to donate some back to the site, go ahead and do it. If you need some help getting rid of some Urbos, let me know. Once there are less Urbos out there, you'll see people paying market value. We do have a good economy, it's just a little out of whack at the moment. If anyone has some sound advice, we're all ears. Urb ON! DaMan
Okay ladies and others the floor is open. Post your suggestions here or send them privately to DaMan and post a note here saying you sent the Mayor some suggestions. I sent mine directly to him and have already seen one implemented. He is listening it's time for us to do our part.
I think maybe charging a fee for trades.. Ebay charges fees, yahoo charges fees.. And alot of people use them like an auction.. basing the fee on how much you make could help or make it worse.. they will either lower prices so they do not have to pay so much out of their winnings or charge more to make up for it.. But eventually they will get tired of not selling stuff because the prices are too high. Just an idea..
