DO YOU HAVE 10K PROPS AND 90 DAYS BUT ARE NOT BETA?

The system isn't automated, so just gram me to let me know you've reached 10k props so I can change your stats to Beta-tester.

If you ever forget your password, or your password gets reset, the only way to retrieve it is through the email address that is on your account. If you supplied a fake email, you won't get access.

So keep track of the email account you're using and make sure you can accept emails there!

YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN YOUR ACTIVATION EMAIL?

Since our email system is not working at the moment, I will be activating new accounts as well as sending out forgotten passwords. Although I'm an admin, I don't have access to the @urbaniacs email accounts so I have made a gmail account specifically for sending out this information.

If you have forgotten your password, send me an urbogram. I will then send an email from [email protected] to the email account that is on the Urbaniacs account in question. This is currently the only way you can retrieve a forgotten password.

DO NOT BORROW OR LEND URBOS OR ITEMS

Here's how you can get cheated:

1. A person offers to lend you urbos, then they charge you high interest. They will keep calculating and demanding urbos and/or items from you FOREVER.

2. A person offers to lend you urbos, but they want to hold one of your items as collateral. After you've paid them back, they insist that you haven't paid in full, or they just decide to keep your item.

3. Someone begs to use your items to win a battle. They never return the items to you.

4. Someone begs to borrow urbos and of course, never gives them back.

This problem has occurred so much, that it is time to stop borrowing and lending for good. The Swap Meet wasn't intended to be used for this purpose.

FACEBOOK/PERSONAL INFO

When someone asks you to get on Facebook, it's because they don't want a record of their convo with you on Urb. If you don't know the person in real life, then DON'T ADD THEM. They will try to scam you and trick you into giving up your password.

When you get scammed, if you did not have the convo in urbograms, it will be very difficult for me to investigate. When someone asks you to get on Facebook or im, DON'T DO IT. Use URBOGRAMS only!

If someone asks you what your middle name is, your email address, your favorite teacher's name, your hometown or your pet's name, they are trying to guess your password. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PERSONAL INFO

USE A MIDDLEMAN

There is an 8 million urbo cap on Swap Meet bids, making it necessary to make multiple bids for a high priced item using urbo-gurts or other cheap items. This makes it possible for scammers to take advantage of people. Instead, I can do the transaction between parties on the admin screen. Both parties must gram me the terms of the trade so I know everyone is in agreement. I usually make the trade within 24 hours of receiving grams from both people.

HOW GUM WORKS

*** Gum has NO STATS on its own ***

1. Gum is used to transfer 1000 stats from one part to another in this way:

Head to Head
Body to Body
Legs to Legs

Might to Might
Defense to Defense
Health to Health
Mojo to Mojo
Super Power to Super Power

2. The part you transfer FROM needs to have one stat of at least 200.

3. The gum only transfers the stats from your part, so if you don't have 1000 stats on that part, you won't get 1000 stats. Here are some example scenarios:

- Your part has a total of 300 stats. You transfer them all over. The part that has been zeroed out will disappear and you will have a credit of 700 stat points that you can transfer over when you have another part.

- Your part has a total of 1200 stats. You can only transfer 1000 over with one gum. You'll have to tell me in your gram how much of each stat to transfer since they can't all go over unless you have more than one gum.

4. Keep in mind that when you zero out a part it disappears. So if it's a cash item or retired item, you may want to think twice.


USING THE GUM

1. Gum is a premium item sold at Speedy's: https://www.urbaniacs.com/shop/speedys/ It will be released periodically in limited amounts. so it will not always be available for purchase.

2. When you are ready to have a part (or parts) transferred, keep those parts and the gum in your inventory. Do not put them in trades.

3. Gram me (love_child) to tell me which part(s) you are transferring FROM and which part(s) they are going TO. And in case you're not transferring all the stats over, you'll have to tell me how much of each to transfer. Also, let me know how much gum you are using for the transfer, just for the sake of clarity.

4. Please be patient. I try to complete transfer requests within 24 hours, however sometimes it goes as long as 48 hours. It should not take longer than that, though.

NOTES

The gum feature is designed so that people can switch to another character without having to lose all their hard earned training. This was its original purpose. However, it's also handy for people who have been hoarding body parts, or those who can afford to get parts at the pawn shop, to get stronger quickly by consolidating those parts into one body. Either way, this adds something new to the game and I hope it has served players in a positive way. And hopefully it gives players something meaningful to purchase in order to better support the continued existance of Urbaniacs!
